Enjoy a true technique class? This is it!
Jazz class starts with a center warm-up, a short stretch, moving across the floor, then finishes with playful choreography emphasizing musicality and style. We spend a handful of weeks on each combination so you have the chance to learn the details and really dance it out!
In Tap class we train the body to be loose and articulate. We hone our technique, learn new tap steps, practice popular steps (time steps!) to keep them in our embodied repertoire, and then have fun learning routines. Tap is excellent for building coordination, enhancing memory, and having so much fun. Come for one or the other, or stay and enjoy both classes. These classes are open to all with prior dance experience (intermediate level). These Thursday classes are for everyone, and, they are especially designed for the Aging and Active (no floor work, turns are always optional). Adult Dance Classes
Come for one or the other, or stay and enjoy both classes! Some prior experience is recommended as these classes are Intermediate level, but I welcome all levels and prioritize fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all who want to come and dance.
Visit Dance Dimensions online to register, or just show up for a drop in class.
Modern Dance Class
This open-level class uses principles and practices that have emerged from modern dance, yet apply to many ways of moving the body and connecting with self and nature. Class begins by awakening the brain-body connection, which in turn supports grounding and centering. Class continues with strength-building and flexibility. Throughout the class, free expression is invited to move.
